DID YOU KNOW St. Patrick’s School Library has over 10,000 titles in its collection and subscribes to magazines such as Sports Illustrated for Kids, NICK, and Scientific American

…..11 dedicated women volunteer their time each month in the library- checking in and out books, covering books, cataloguing/processing books, and most importantly helping students find a book to read

…. Due to tremendous support for our Book Fair, over $3,000 was raised for the school library this Fall and over $8,000 total in the past 13 months

….12 sixth and seventh grade students joined our first ever book club, reading and talking about books purchased through a special grant

….Each and every student and staff member has home and school access to Grolier Online, which contains updated articles for student research

….St. Patrick’s School Library wouldn’t reach the needs of our students without all of our parent support.  Thank you so much. – Anne Kalkowski, St. Patrick’s Media Specialist

A LETTER FROM THE FIELD OF DREAMS RAFFLE COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN –

Dear St. Patrick’s Parents and Students-

This February, St. Patrick’s will raffle a brand new Harley Davidson Sportster Motorcycle (or $10,000 cash).  The parish will have 90 days before the drawing under Nebraska state law to sell tickets for a chance to win the motorcycle or other cash prizes.  Tickets will be $20 each or six tickets for $100, a savings of $20.

We, at St. Patrick’s, are very excited about this opportunity to conduct such a significant fundraiser this year, but need your participation to ensure its success.  During the week of November 12th, we will hand out a packet of 6 tickets to each Religious Formation and 5 day School family.

That week, each family will receive a sales packet containing the following:

-Frequently Asked Questions that addresses basic information about the motorcycle -raffle

-Prize flyer

-Six numbered ticket

-Return envelope

Please consider selling the book of tickets.  We are striving for 100% participation by our school and Religious Formation students.  Each family/child will have an opportunity to receive great prizes during the raffle as well as awesome prizes for both the Religious Formation classes and 5 day school.  If you are uncomfortable selling tickets, please feel free to return them in the envelope unsold at your earliest convenience.

I hope that you will join others and me in our parish by taking part in the raffle.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by email at DQH@COX.NET.

Sincerely,

Dan Hanus, Raffle Committee
